Citizenship

Kenya citizenship by marriage application support

Prepare a Kenyan citizenship-by-marriage application with help organising marriage, residence and identity records and understanding official requirements.

Marriage to a Kenyan citizen does not itself complete a citizenship application. RENEZ EXTREME CONSULTANCY helps you organise the relationship, identity and residence records relevant to the published route, and identify questions that require official or legal clarification.

Understand the route

The official marriage page identifies a marriage period of at least seven years and Form 8. The Act sets additional conditions, including residence status, a recognised and subsisting marriage and other eligibility requirements. This is not a promise of citizenship immediately on a seventh anniversary. [S10, S11]

Preparation documents

The official page lists an attested Form 8, questionnaire, photographs, marriage certificate, good-conduct certificate, applicant passport, Kenyan spouse’s passport/ID, joint affidavit and dependant-pass or permit copy. Confirm the current requirements before obtaining sworn or certified records. [S10]

What RENEZ can help organise

We help create a chronology and document inventory, identify inconsistent names and assemble a list of residence records and outstanding questions. We explain the form fields and prepare a working file for your review. Sworn declarations and legal opinions must be completed by the appropriate professionals; you remain responsible for truthful information.

Frequently asked questions

Is the spouse permanent-residence route identical?

No. Permanent residence has different categories and requirements. Read that page before deciding which status you need.

What happens if my Kenyan spouse has died?

There is a separate widow/widower category. Ask for the official requirements and qualified advice; do not submit the ordinary marriage route without clarification. [S5]

Can I work while the application is pending?

Do not assume the application authorises work. Your existing status and intended activity require a separate check.
