First applications and replacements

The Directorate’s requirements distinguish first-time, replacement, damaged, lost and name-change applications. Depending on the category, records include Form 19 and invoices, birth or citizenship registration evidence, adult ID, minor consent and parental records, previous passport and supporting loss/damage or name-change documents. The passport page describes online application/payment through the official Directorate eCitizen service, appointment booking and attendance for submission and biometrics. Diaspora applicants should check the nearest Kenyan mission’s passport arrangements.
